Desireé Dallagiacomo is an award-winning writer, performer, & educator. She is the program director & artistic director at Forward Arts, a youth spoken word & social justice writing non-profit in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. She is the head coach for the 2017 Brave New Voices Championship team, The Forward Arts All Stars. Desireé is the founder and curator of an annual writing retreat for young writers, hosted in the early spring in the desert of New Mexico. She is a Pushcart Prize nominee. She is a multi-time national and international poetry slam finalist, and her work has been featured widely across national and international publicatoins- including Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post, The San Francisco Gate, EverydayFeminism.com, Upworthy, The Vagina Monologues, & the New Orleans Fringe Festival. She has taught & performed extensively across the USA, Canada, & Australia. Desireé lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
